(2L436) DAYTON Cogged V-Belt: 5VX840, 84 in Outside Lg, 0.625 in Top Wd, 17/32 in Thick
5VX section V-belts have a wedge, cogged design and a nominal top width of 5/8" and a nominal thickness of 17/32" (actual dimensions may vary slightly). Wedge V-belts, identified with a "V," have a smaller top width and a deeper profile than classical V-belts. This design transfers higher power than classical V-belts of the same size. Cogged V-belts have grooves across the width of the belt and are identified with an "X." They run cooler than standard V-belts because the cogs allow the belt to bend and flex against the pulley, dissipating heat. They are useful for small diameter pulleys and drives with twists and turns.
